Men’s Tennis Bounces Back With A Win Against Southern Indiana

The EKU men's tennis team (2-4) bounced back with a win against Southern Indiana (2-5) by the score of 5-2 on Friday at the Evansville Tennis Center.

 

To begin the dual match, Moritz Mayer and Kristoffer Stahlbrand won their doubles match from the No. 1 position, 6-4. However, the Screaming Eagles took the other two doubles courts to claim the doubles point.

 

In singles play, the Colonels dominated as they won five out of six singles matches.

 

Stahlbrand earned his first singles win from the No. 2 court this season in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. J.Anurag Reddy also got the win from the No. 3 spot for the first time in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

 

Then, Moritz Mayer won his singles match from the No. 1 position in a three-set thriller, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Paul-Antoine Brazet won his second straight singles match from the No. 4 spot in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

 

Arthur Bugeaud won his second singles match of the season from the No. 5 court in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 11-9.
