Description:
Bone Builders is a fun, evidence-based bone-building and fall prevention program. This is a free one-hour class that is offered to residents aged 55+. Meets Mondays & Thursdays. Registration required.
Space is limited, please arrive 10 minutes early to set up for class. **REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, Contact Jean Cihlar at 301-774-9545 to register.
Participants must purchase their own weighted leg cuffs and hand-weights that they will learn about during the first day of class. Students must agree to attend class two days a week., bring bottle water to every class, wear supportive shoes with covered toes and heels, and dress for exercise. This is not a drop in class. The purpose of the class is to improve muscle strength, bone density and balance--a slow, steady process that requires continued commitment. It is also a fun time.
