The Berea College women's basketball team remains unbeaten after defeating the Spalding Eagles 71-66 on Thursday evening. This victory moves the Mountaineers to 6-0 overall.

The contest was a back-and-forth affair in the first half as Berea trailed going into halftime 32-29. However, the Mountaineers gained the advantage in the third quarter as Berea outscored Spalding 26-15. The visiting team held the Golden Eagles to a 37% overall shooting performance in the third as the Mountaineers came away with a 71-66 win.
