Men's Soccer Drops Regular-Season Finale Against Covenant
The Berea College men's soccer team traveled to Lookout Mountain, Ga., on October 22nd to play Covenant College for the last regular season game. This match ended in a Berea loss, with the final score being 3-0.
Covenant College started strong within the first half by hitting two goals into the back of the net. Going into the second half, the Mountaineers fought hard, but the Covenant Scots managed to hit one more back in the net before the end of the match. Berea registered eight shots, seven saves, two corner kicks, and 11 fouls within the game.
With the regular season coming to an end, the Mountaineers turn their sights to the post season as they finished fifth in the Collegiate Conference of the South standings. The Mountaineers return to Georgia to battle Piedmont University in the first round of the conference tournament on Wednesday.
